The Project

The marine transport hub offering crossings to and from Liverpool to Douglas on the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool commenced in order to enhance transport links, support regional regeneration and showcased collaboration between partners. A major challenge encountered was discovering centuries’ worth of maritime history and artefacts, including ancient docks, chambers and access gates. The terminal has a gross floor area of 27,500 sq ft distributed over two floors and a maximum of 1,000 passengers can be accommodated on the ferry with 1,145 metres of vehicle lanes available.
