TD Supporting the Air Quality Action Plan

As part of the ongoing progress and support of the Air Quality Action Plan, the Department of Environment, Farming and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) have provided investment that will enable St Helens Borough Council and St Helens Chamber to, through their St Helens Business Vehicle Grant scheme, help local businesses tackle the reduction in NO2 emissions across the borough.

We are delighted that our proposal was successful and we have now upgraded our old Euro 5 (Emissions Standard) Mitsubishi L200, to a new Euro 6 compliant Renault Trafic.

In doing so, we have contributed to improved air quality both within our borough and beyond whilst also reducing our carbon emissions supporting our pledge to be Net Zero by 2040.
